Welcome to Redüttchen,

the former gardener's cottage at the Redoute, which was built between 1790 and 1792 by the architects Michael Laydel & Son on behalf of Elector Max Franz.
We love good food, fine wines, extraordinary ideas, and new creations. We want to share the finer things in life with you and offer you moments filled with pleasure, lightheartedness, and carefree enjoyment.

A relaxed atmosphere and our delightful, inventive cuisine come together perfectly in our restaurant in Bonn— whether for a business meeting, a meal with family or friends, or just for the pleasure of it.

Chef Matthias Pietsch and his team love the finest ingredients, which they use to conjure up new culinary experiences with imagination and international influences—regional cuisine that goes beyond the ordinary. Food with character and soul.

    We’re here to support you through these difficult times, and we’re looking forward to the future together! We are so grateful for your encouragement and loyalty. Together, we’ve become so creative—our projects, like “Gans to go” and the summer “Picnic Blanket Concert” as an open-air event, are so much fun, and we’re thrilled with their success.

    At present, the pandemic situation remains so tense that it is difficult to organize enjoyable celebrations at our Redoute and the Redüttchen, and such events are very hard to plan. From a business perspective, this is a disaster! After all, the Redüttchen only “works” (from a business standpoint) in conjunction with La Redoute.

Added to this are the massive cost increases in almost all areas, a situation certainly exacerbated by the time of year.

    That is why we have decided to take a “winter break” for at least a month. We are, of course, still available by phone to answer your questions, help you plan your celebration, or take your reservation requests for “when things get back to normal.”

JRE & Friends Charity Kitchen Party

The JRE-Deutschland Foundation ’s culinary event will take place on February 16, 2025, at the Redoute in Bonn. You can look forward to delicious dishes from JRE’s top chefs Oliver Röder ( “Burg Flamersheim, Euskirchen), Philipp Helzle ( “BollAnt’s,” Bad Sobernheim), Christoph Schmah ( “Landhaus Halferschenke,” Dieblich ), Maximilian Lorenz ( “restaurant maximilian lorenz,” Cologne ), Alexander Wulf ( “Troyka,” Erkelenz ), top chef Iris Bettinger ( “Reuter, Rheda-Wiedenbrück), and local hero Matthias Pietsch, who serves as head chef at the restaurant “Redüttchen” —the former garden house of the Redoute. Also joining the lineup are Bonn-based baking revolutionary Max Kugel and the chocolate brand “Original Beans.” Other culinary highlights include “R Express, “Parmigiano Reggiano, and ” among many others. The renowned wineries “Meyer-Näkel,” “Axel Bauer,” and “Prinz Salm” will provide the perfect wines to accompany the meal.
